Blueprint is the third album by Irish guitar virtuosoRory Gallagher, originally released in 1973, and the first one to include keyboard player Lou Martin. Being a four piecebandturned out to be one of Gallagher's mostsuccessful lineups,recording many of his most popular tunes.
Blueprint displays a well-rounded picture of Gallagher's eclectic influences. Muddy Waters, Big Bill Broonzy, Roy Head are all shown their due. The album title and artwork were taken from the actual blueprint of a guitar amplifier that had been custom made by Stramp for Gallagher. One of the highlights on the LP is abrooding rendition of "Seventh Son OfA Seventh Son", with the bandlocked in a swampy groove for just under 10minutes!
