Steve Walsh is known for his work as the frontman of the progressive rock band Kansas, from which he retired in 2014. On his new solo album Black Butterfly the influences from his past are brought together in some compact rock songs. Steve wrote the 14 songs of the album together with the Swedish musician Tommy Denander and the Christian rocker Jerome Mazza takes the lead vocals on three songs.
