| Airspeed was an Italian band active since 1980, created by bassist Andrea Castelli, known as talented musician also in Shabby Trick, Cappanera, Mantra and featuring on vocals Morby, before he left to join Sabotage (and later also Domine and Labyrinth). The band is focused to play heavy metal in the veins of early NWOBHM, Judas Priest or Motorhead, powered by Morby's mighty voice. In 1983 they recorded their first demo tape, 5 tracks as an exciting mix between Judas Priest and Loudness sound. This demo was pretty much appreciated in the underground scene and the Airspeed name circulated quickly in Italian and also European fanzines. [...more...]
