rhythms and a hard-edged guitar sound to the music.
With his unique guitar playing, African-influenced rhythms, creative song-writing and larger-than-life
persona - the "originator" - as he was called, influenced a host of legendary acts, including; Buddy Holly, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, George Thorogood, Eric Clapton and the Pretty Things, the latter who took their name from one of his songs.
