| Jeden z największych pianistów jazzowych na świecie, Brad Mehldau, na płycie "Finding Gabriel" zawarł dziewięć tematycznie powiązanych kompozycji, dla których inspiracją była Biblia. Brad czytał ją regularnie w minionych kilkunastu latach, a fragmenty o Hiobie i eklezjastach oraz rzecz jasna archaniele Gabrielu, stanowiły dla niego natchnienie przy pisaniu utworów na album. Mehldau zagrał także na syntezatorach, perkusjonaliach, pianinie Rhodesa, jak również zaśpiewał. Zaprosił również gości, wśród których znaleźli się: Ambrose Akinmusire, Sara Caswell, Kurt Elling, Joel Frahm, Mark Guiliana, Gabriel Kahane, Becca Stevens.
