| Recorded 11-12 November 1987 at CMC Studio in Rome, Italy, this quartet recording features Charlie Haden on double bass, Chet Baker on trumpet, Enrico Pieranunzi on piano and Billy Higgins on drums. Haden, who is given top billing here, is an American double bassist best known for his long-standing association with Ornette Coleman and his Liberation Music Orchestra of the 1970s. Haden, along with drummer Billy Higgins (also featured here) both played together Coleman.s 1959 groundbreaking The Shape Of Jazz To Come.
