Digitally remastered edition of the 1971 debut album from the German Experimental/Avant Garde outfit. Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius had been making experimental electronic music since meeting at Berlin's famed Zodiak arts lab in the late 1960s. Cluster was their first work for a major label and the sessions saw Conny Plank join the duo as a musician and producer. The trio utilized varied instrumentation such as organs, audio generators and electronically treated cello to produce an album that All Music Guide later referred to as "a dislocating, disorientating meld of random space music, industrial noise, proto-ambient atmospherics, feedback and soundwash".
