W 2026 roku przypada 40-ta rocznica powstania DarkThrone, norweskich mistrzów drugiej fali black metalu.
Z tej okazji duet Fenriz i Nocturno Culto przygotowali nowy materiał zatytułowany "Pre-Historic Metal". Fenriz mówi o symbolicznym znaczeniu tytułu: "Słowo prehistoric w tytule to w zasadzie bardzo luźne określenie. Myślę, że to po prostu nasz vibe i generalnie deklaracja, że używamy starego stylu, aby stworzyć coś nowego".
"Pre-Historic Metal" zawiera osiem utworów osadzonych w epickim klimacie i okraszonych potężnymi riffami, nad którymi unosi się duch lat 70-tych i 80-tych.
