| 1978 saw the release of Edwin Starr's second 20th Century Records album, CLEAN. CLEAN would go onto become Edwin Starr's most successful album since his Motown days. The album entered the top 100 in the US Pop charts and peaked at #22 in the US R&B charts. The singles climbed even higher with CONTACT becoming a top 10 hit in the UK and would go on to become one of the most instantly recognizable Disco anthems while the upbeat, I'M SO INTO YOU became a minor UK Soul hit. CLEAN also features the heartfelt soulful ballad JEALOUS helping this to be an extremely well rounded and enjoyable album.
