W 2008r. dwójka czołowych australijskich muzyków - Luke Steel (The Sleepy Jackson)
(The Sleepy Jackson) i Nick LittleMore (Pnau) stworzyli wizję postapokaliptycznej, alternatywnej rzeczywistości, której nadali nazwę EMPIRE OF THE SUN. W rezultacie ich działalności powstała multiplatynowa już płyta "Walking On A Dream", która okazała się być prawdziwym wydarzeniem 2008 roku, a ponadto spopularyzowała nurt tanecznej elektroniki.
