| Znakomite czwarte studyjne dzieło mistrzów pop punka z Green Day.
Album ukazał się w 1995 roku i dotarł do drugiego miejsca na "Billboardzie". W USA płyta pokryła się podwójną platyną, zaś w skali całego świata sprzedało się ponad 10 mln "Insomniac". Trio na krążku zaproponowało nieco ostrzejszą muzykę, brudniej brzmiącą i bardziej mroczną pod względem tekstów. Pomimo tej ciemniejszej aury piosenki "Geek Stink Breath" i "Brain Stew/Jaded" dotarły do Top 10 notowania singli "Billboardu".
