When their blistering debut single, 'Race With The Devil', reached the UK Top Ten in December 1968, it catapulted power trio the Gun from the bowels of the London underground club circuit to the forefront of the British pop scene.
But the follow-up single 'Drives You Mad' and a selftitled first LP failed to build on that initial success, and in late 1969 the Gun returned with their second and final album, Gunsight.
A slightly more sophisticated work than their debut set, Gunsight was an assured mix of frenzied, proto-metal rockers and tender psychedelic pop ballads.
This re-mastered release adds non-album single tracks, rare photos and fresh quotes from founder member Paul Gurvitz.
