After releasing a CDEP entitled "In Battle There Is No Law" and a split 12" with FALL OF SERENITY, HEAVEN SHALL BURN signed to LIFEFORCE RECORDS for their first full-length, "Asunder". In addition to their debut release in 2000, the first "Split Program" with CALIBAN was also released.
