Kendrick Lamar is an award-winning rapper best known for his innovative take on life in Southern California as well as for his affiliation with rap star and super-producer Dr. Dre. Kendrick Lamar rapped under the name K-Dot, releasing a series of increasingly popular mixtapes, which brought him to the attention of Dre. Lamar's debut major-label recording, good kid, m.A.A.d city' was released to great acclaim and in 2015 he won a Grammy for his album To Pimp a Butterfly'.
