Miloˇ is set to release his third album Aranjuez. It is also his first
concerto recording, centering around Joaquin Rodrigo's seminal
Concierto de Aranjuez. With Aranjuez, Milos pays tribute
to the great Spanish composers and musicians who placed the
modern classical guitar firmly on the international stage. The
album includes perhaps the two most significant and popular
works ever written for guitar and orchestra: Joaqun Rodrigo's
Concierto de Aranjuez (1939) and his Fantasa para un gentilhombre
(1954). It also includes de Falla's Homenaje for solo
guitar. Written in 1920 in memory of Claude Debussy's death,
Homenaje has had a significant influence on guitar writing, widening
the scope of expressivity and depths known for the instrument.
