Mel Brooks spoofs every sci-fi movie from 'Star Wars' and 'Alien' to 'Planet of the Apes' in this interstellar comedy. When Princess Vespa (Daphne Zuniga) is kidnapped by the evil Dark Helmet (Rick Moranis), space adventurer Lone Star (Bill Pullman) and his doglike companion Barf (John Candy) are hired to rescue her by her father, King Roland.
