Part Motorhead, part Iron Maiden, part Ted Nugent, and among one of the best metal bands of the era, The Rods from Upstate New York were as much a part of the early 80's U.K. New Wave Of British Heavy Metal scene as any of their Brit contemporaries. The rabid three-headed beast of David 'Rock' Feinstein (guitar/vocals), Garry Bordonaro (bass/vocals) and Carl Canedy (drums/vocals) chewed through the restraining chains of the U.S. East Coast disco scene. As special guest on the European leg of Iron Maiden's Number Of The Beast tour, The Rods sandwiched the recording of their follow-up album, Wild Dogs.
