With a career spanning 38 years and sales of 130million records, Genesis' played their final show as the classic line-up of Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford in November 1992, by which stage they had recorded 13 studio albums and played 1433 live shows, to a total of 14,883,739 people. 2007 saw them re-form for the first time in 15 years and the results were phenonmenal. The Turn It On Again 22-date tour, which kicked off in Finland on 11 June 2007, saw Genesis play to a staggering 1.4 million fans ending with a show in front of 500,000 at Rome's Circo Massimo. This became one of the most succesful tours of the entire year. During this time, they sold over 200,000 units of newly released titles (including "Turn It On Again tour edition", the special SACD/DVD box sets and Live Over Europe - the live album from this tour) in UK alone and 500,000 units across Europe. 2008 will also be a key year for the band, which will kick off with these 5 reissues featuring new stereo mixes of all tracks and beautifully packaged in CD versions of the original vinyl artwork on 7th April. Their profile will increase again, with several events planned, including the 3 disc DVD 4 hour 30 minute release of the above tour and documentary ("Live In Rome 2007") on May 26th which will be accompanied with a substantial marketing and promotional campaign.
