Nashville Pussy, amerykańska grupa wykonująca rock'n'roll, która powstała w 1996 roku w Atlancie. W swej twórczości grupa porusza zagadnienia jakimi są przemoc, seks czy narkotyki. Nazwa zespołu pochodzi z piosenki Teda Nugenta zatytułowanej "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang" z albumu Double Live Gonzo, dedykowanej "To all Nashville Pussies". Zespół był nominowany do nagrody Grammy za piosenkę pt. "Fried Chicken And Coffee" z 1998 roku. "Get Some" to krążek pochodzący z 2005 roku, będący czwartą pozycją w dyskografii Nashville Pussy.
The exclusive re-release of the group's fourth full-length album - "Get Some" - brings a powerful dose of bar brawiln', beer gruzzlin' music straight from the Great American South. Released through Spitfire Records in 2005, "Get Some" proved to be the band's best effort yet, delivering thirteen straight-forward 4/4 rock crunchers. Recorded with new bass player Karen Cuda (this way creating arguably Nashville Pussy's best line-up to date), the LP introduced a heavier, much more metal oriented style than on the previous albums, kicking the listener straight in the face with some truly relentless riffage. The best examples of that are such songs as the opener "Pussy Time" and the drum-possessed "Hell Ain't What It Used To Be". On some of the tracks, Blaine's voice is quite similar to Alice Cooper, while still retaining the dirty Southern feel. Also his lyrics saw some changes, revealing a certain "profoundness' here and there, but still sticking mainly to what the group knows best: partying, drinking, fucking and basically having a good time. Nashville Pussy included two smokin' cover versions on "Get Some": "Nutbush City Limits" by Ike & Tina Turner and "Snowblind" by Ace Frehley, both of which are by many fans considered superior to the originals. Two tracks from the album - "Come On Come On" and "Hate & Whiskey" - were featured in the video game "Jackass: The Game". New digipak edition islimited to 1000 copies. Digitally remastered using 24-Bit process on a golden disc.
Nashville Pussy is an American hard rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. Many of their songs are about sex, drugs, drinking, fighting, and rock & roll. Their musical style mixes hard rock, punk rock, Southern metal and psychobilly. Get Some is the band's fourth full length album from 2005. It is yet another explosive collection of all-out rockers from a band that refuses to tame down or give up. The band isn't trying to inject new ideas into the mix...they continue providing the same kind of slam-it-in-your-face rockers that they started out playing. Kickass cuts include Hate and Whiskey, Hell Ain't What It Used To Be, Nutbush City Limits, and Meaner Than My Mama. The album includes a cover version of Ike & Tina Turner's Nutbush City Limits. The new digipak edition is limited to 1000 copies. Digitally remastered using 24-Bit process, released on a golden disc. |
