| Salt Lake City female dominated doom rock band SUBROSA began in the summer of 2005 and since then, have attracted certain factions of the doom metal/stoner rock scene due to the nature of their music. Music that is comprised of supernatural down-tuned guitar and low-end bass, the dark air of two eerie violins, thunderous raw percussion, and female black magick vocals. To get a glimpse of the sound that SUBROSA conjure, simply imagine a diabolical and haunting mix of the likes of PJ Harvey, Kyuss, L7, and Coven filtered through the ghostly vibes of American gothic tragedy. "No Help For The Mighty Ones" is the band's third album (which was mixed and mastered by Marduk bass player Magnus Devo Andersson at his Endarker Studios in Sweden) and easily eclipses their previous two albums; namely their self-released debut "The Worm Has Turned" from 2006 and 2008's "Strega" (which was released by respected Swedish doom metal label I Hate Records).
