The Notorious Byrd Brothers was originally released on January 3, 1968, and remains the Byrds' most interesting album, the songs among the best in the band's catalog. Although the group was in turmoil at this point, the album that emerged was cohesive, consistently challenging, and thematically unified.
Mobile Fidelity has done an amazing job with the mastering from the original analog mono master tape. This edition also includes 6 bonus tracks in stereo, of which David Crosby's "Triad" is a standout; one of the reasons Crosby left the band is because of its omission from the original record.
