| Oryginalnie wydany w maju 1982 roku album "Combat Rock" jest ostatnim studyjnym albumem The Clash w składzie: Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Paul Simonon i Topper Headon. Zawiera jednej z najpopularniejszych utworów The Clash: "Should I Stay Or Should I Go" oraz "Rock The Casbah". Z okazji 40-tej rocznicy premiery ukazała się reedycja na CD i LP.
Po 17 koncertach zagranych w nowojorskim Bond's Casino w 1981 roku, zespół grał próby i nagrywał nowy materiał w The People's Hall w Wielkiej Brytanii.
