| | 2009 will mark the 50th anniversary of the release of Hank Ballard's The Twist', the b-side which launched one of the biggest worldwide dance crazes of the last century, and of all time. To celebrate the dance that got the whole world out of their armchairs and gyrating across the floor, Ace has devoted a whole CD in its occasional "Land Of 1000 Dances" series to the unique phenomenon that was and forever will be the Twist. Not everybody could come to our Twist party, but we managed to persuade many of those who participated to go "roundandaroundandaupandadown" one more time for posterity.
