The Waterboys were formed in 1983 by singer-songwriter, guitarist and front-man Mike Scott in Edinburgh, Scotland and he is the only constant member of the Scottish folk rock band. On 1993's "Dream Harder", the follow-up to "Room To Roam", Mike Scott leaves the path of the traditional Celtic influenced music to return to the rock genre. The complete album was recorded in New York with session musicians and produced by Bill Price (Sex Pistols/Clash/G'n R/Clash a.o.). Although the sixth album is more rock than Celtic music "Dream Harder" is often described as a 'certainly not to be missed in your collection' Waterboys album. |
