Pioneers of heavy metal, the mighty Black Sabbath remain an unmistakable presence on the rock n' roll landscape. Whilst the release of their eponymous debut introduced the band to the world, it was with their second album Paranoid that Sabbath redefined the style and sound of a genre, and made one of the greatest rock records ever produced in the process. But following Ozzy Osbourne's sacking in 1979, the group lost their momentum, while Ozzy as a solo artist became one of the world's biggest stars.
