Carpathian Forest from Norway formed in 1990. They began their recording career with the cult demo 'Bloodlust & Perversion' in 1992. Since then the band have recorded several albums, and have also become a class, if unpredictable, live act.
They are one of the earlier purveyors of the Scandinavian black metal scene and have always embraced their old school roots. The band are also well known for their lyrical content; a blend of Satanism and sadism.
'Black Shining Leather' was the band's debut full-length album from 1998 after the 'Through Chasm, Caves & Titan Woods' EP brought them storming onto the scene in 1995. [...more...]
