JEFF BUCKLEY - Killing Time: Rare Tracks 1992-1995. Combining live broadcasts from the legendary WFMU in East Orange, NJ, and WENZ in Cleveland, OH, this LP set is some of the rarest live Buckley material available. Opening with a heartrending cover of the country standard made famous by Porter Wagoner, "Satisfied Mind", followed by a brilliant take on VU's "All Tomorrow's Parties", through a great Smiths tune, and a post Siouxsie And The Banshees tune from The Creatures, the LP closes out with 3 amazing Buckley originals. Perhaps most famous for his beautiful cover of Leonard Cohen, Jeff Buckley sure had a way with making others songs his own, and the covers found here are perfect examples. [...more...]
