Znany magazyn muzyczny "Rolling Stone" ocenił album "All Night Long" jako "najlepszy bluesowy album ostatniego dziesięciolecia" Album wydany został w 1992 roku, kiedy to Kimbrough miał 62 lata. W owym czasie wykonawcy tacy jak The Rolling Stones, Sonic Youth, U2 odbywali pielgrzymki do Holy Spings w Mississippi gdzie Kimbrough grał w klubie z towarzyszeniem swojego syna Kenny Malone na perkusji i Gary Burnsida na basie. Uważa się go za bluesmana, który wywarł olbrzymi wpływ na współczesną muzykę rockową W latach 90-tych odbył szereg koncertów towarzysząc Iggy Pop'owi.
