The bizarre, cult, underground post-metal band KAUAN returns to their funeral doom roots, with their fifth album, entitled "PIRUT". The band abandoned its metal stylings after its first album, in search of a more peaceful, post-rock sound. "PIRUT" immediately strikes an angry chord, beginning a single-track, 40-minute, funeral doom "opera", that weaves in and out of destruction and beauty, separated into eight chapters. This is a welcome return to the band's origins that its cult following has been waiting for.
This is the first time KAUAN appears as a full band, previously they were a two-person studio project.
