The man is 72 years old and still making interviewers uncomfortablenow that's what I call rock n' roll! Although best known for his hand in creating The Runaways, scratch the surface and you will find that Kim Fowley was actually one of the true unsung geniuses behind much of the L.A. music scene of the 50s, 60s and 70s. Originally released in 1968 (during which time Fowley was also busy writing songs with Zappa, The Byrds, and The Seeds, to name just a few of so many), this like most of his albums, almost defies description. A parody of the whole Jim Morrison-is-God / stream-of-consciousness acid counterculture, Kim is at his best when he is taking the piss out of something that everybody else takes dead seriously.
