This album grew out of BOB DYLAN'S Rolling Thunder Review, and features backing the Kinkster; RINGO STARR, RON WOOD, ERIC CLAPTON, ROGER MCGUINN, RICK DANKO, LEVON HELM, DOCTOR JOHN, MICK RONSON, RUSTY YOUNG, and TBONE BURNETT.
KINKY FRIEDMAN is also well known as a successful author of contemporary thrillers, as well as being an outrageous and irreverent, yet always thought provoking songwriter.
His recording career began in the early seventies with his band THE TEXAS JEW BOYS.
'Lasso from El Paso' was his third album and the TEXAS JEW BOYS disbanded three years later. [...more...]
