Australian post-hardcore outfit Parkway Drive issue their debut album on Golf Records. The band has exploded through their homeland with their debut full-length, Killing With A Smile and seeks to conquer foreign shores this year. The album produced by Adam Dutkiewicz (of Killswitch Engage) had the band fly to Massachusetts last year for an intense two week recording period of twelve hours a day. The resulting album is a large and devastating aural evisceration through eleven tracks, even reflecting down to the artwork that shows a man bleeding out into the street. With a massive sound that encompasses Swe-death riffs, punishing breakdowns, thick rhythms, mayhem inducing blast beats and a technical precision that borders on frightening, Parkway Drive transcend cliché labels like metal core with ease.
