Saxophonist Scott Hamilton and his quartet recorded in London on 4th January, 2012. The repertoire performed that night was the perfect showcase for the saxophonist's melodic approach and included such evergreens as "Sweet and Lovely" and "Jitterbug Waltz", together with an earthy dedication to another tenorman, Zoot Sims on "Zoot's Blues".
Scott Hamilton first performed in the United Kingdom in 1978 and immediately became a favourite with British audiences. His association with Pizza Express' Dean Street Jazz Club in London spans a period of some thirty five years and, from the mid -1980's, he's performed in a quartet format for several residencies each year, delighting the audiences on every occasion.
