There is no other band that has had such a huge impact on progressive metal as the men around main songwriter Jim Matheos! Even if you ask other musicians from bands like Queensryche or Dream Theater, they always mention FATES WARNING as one of their main influences. In 1984 the legend started to take its shape when "night on broken" and was for the first time on his peak when "no exit" was released in 1988. By then FATES WARNING was established as THE progressive metal pioneers. "perfect symmetry" or "parallels" followed this path and strengthened their mix between musical progressiveness and mass addicting songwriting.
