Kittie are a refreshing rarity in the modern metal music world - a heavy metal band with four girls on board!!! Young, beautiful & talented girls playing heavy music... This Canadian band was founded in 1996 by sisters Morgan and Mercedes Lander when they were barely on the cusp of adolescence. They were just 15 and 17 years of age when their first CD, "Spit", was released on NG/Artemis records. The band rose to success in 1999, when the track "Brackish" from their debut album became a hit single. "Spit" has been certified Gold by the RIAA. The digipack edition contains a bonus multimedia section with the video for "Brackish", lyrics, bio, photo album and more.
