| This is another album we believe can be a hit and a big turning point for Dark Blue World. Brings more upbeat and more varied sound than their self titled debut. Prog rock influences are even more noticeable, especially comparisons to early jazzy King Crimson are very obvious. The song structures are very refined with odd beats, rich arrangements with strings, horns and sparse effects. Moods vary from bluesy ballads, dark cabaret ala Dresden Dolls, to almost hard rocking tracks. And overall, melodies are beautiful and captivating. At least two songs have potential for independent radio hits. This Canadian act slowly becomes an object of cult in their homeland (frontwoman Elizabeth Fischer is already a renowned poet and performer there, and her previous band Animal Slaves is a real cult now) and we strongly believe they will also succeed in Europe.
