| When vocalist/guitarist Jake left HPR a little under a year ago, the future of the band was left hanging in the balance. However, the remaining three members would not give up so easily. Changing their name to 'Pharaohs' and finding a new guitarist, they ditched the distorted cacophony of past releases and concentrated on a more melodic style whilst retaining the complex guitar work that aided their establishment in the UK music scene. 'every songs its own smart, quirky story, and that Pharaohs have created one of the best independent British rock records of recent years. Very special stuff.
