| Koncert Noworoczny z Wiednia jest jednym z najstarszych i najbardziej spektakularnych wydarzeń muzycznych w roku. W swojej ponad siedemdziesięcio-letniej historii orkiestrę prowadziło wielu najwybitniejszych dyrygentów na świecie. To tradycyjne wydarzenie od 1 stycznia 1941 roku traktowane jest jako oficjalna inauguracja światowego roku muzycznego. Dzięki transmisjom radiowym i telewizyjnym koncert dociera do odbiorców w 90 krajach świata.
W 2015 roku do zadyrygowania orkiestrą Wiedeńskich Filharmoników zaproszony został wybitny dyrygent hinduskiego pochodzenia - Zubin Mehta. Jest to już piąte zaproszenie tego dyrygenta - humanisty do poprowadzenia Koncertu Noworocznego - poprzednie miały miejsce w 1990, 1995, 1998, 2007 roku. [...more...]
