To był pierwszy studyjny album Bad Brains, powszenie uważa się go za jeden z najważniejszych albumów w historii punk rocka (zdaniem Adama Yaucha z Beastie Boys jest to nawet ""najlepszy hardcore-punkowy album wszechczasów"". Pierwotnie wydany został jedynie na kasecie.

Fani i krytycy byli oszołomieni faktem że muzycy stojący za tym albumem - jednym z najszybszych od momentu wypuszczenia tego krążka w 1982 roku - są religijnymi afro-amerykańskimi rastafarianami, wykwalifikowanymi również w graniu reggae. Płyta stanowiła przełomowy krok na drodze formowania się muzyki hardcore punk i mozliwej fuzji hard rocka z reggae, zaadoptowanej później przez zespoły pokroju Fishbone czy 311. [...more...]
