| Supraphon Release Information Reissue of legendary albums on two vinyls In 1971 it was a real event: the band Blue Effect joined forces with the Jazzovy Orchestr Ceskoslovenskeho Rozhlasu (Jazz Orchestra of the Czechoslovak Radio). The studio recording, supported by a concert presentation of the songs, brought together two previously seemingly incompatible units. In our terms, it was a surprise, although a differently conceived collaboration of beat and big band could have been found, see "Odyssea" (Odyssey) by Brno's Atlantis and Gustav Brom. The Prague album, however, went in a different direction: the purely instrumental content was after all more big band jazz than rock, but the vigorous rhythm players Kozel & Cech, the excellent guitarist Hladik and the keyboardist Semelka followed more than ably.
