Forest Pooky's music is one of a hard working man, of a perfectionist haunted by the fear of mediocrity. Some have compared him to Tom Gabel from Against Me! Chuck Ragan, Frank Turner, Evan Dando from the Lemonheads or Glen Hansard. All these artists started playing in punk rock bands before taking the road with an acoustic guitar and traded distortion against the desire to hug wood and to perform in the simplest way, eliminating any artifice.
