| Like so many of the classic blues men his magic worked most keenly when he was on stage and this classic album which was recorded in the early 1970's contains a mix of classic blues tunes and a few more contemporary numbers. It was first released in 1995 through the good offices' of an organisation of Texas blues aficionados. Just one listen shows why such legendary musicians such as Leon Russell were such big fans. King became an influential guitarist with hits for Federal Records in the early 1960s. He inspired musicians such as Jerry Garcia, Dickey Betts, Stevie Ray Vaughan and his brother Jimmie Vaughan.
