Easy as it is to ridicule and lampoon those whose talent emerges via reality television, in truth this is as valid an entry point into the world of pop and rock superstardom as any that exists. And of course nobody sells 50 million records in 5 years, has their first 10 singles all enter highly on the billboard chart or hits the number one spot with each of 5 consecutive albums without a bit of something special. Luckily, Kelly Clarkson has a lot of something special and doesn't seem able to help herself from letting everyone know about it - and that, quite possibly, is why the world's fallen in love with her!
