Oryginalny skład Killing Joke (Jaz Coleman - śpiew, Kevin "Geordie" Walker - gitara, Martin "Youth" Glover - gitara basowa i Paul Ferguson - perkusja) wrócił do studia po 28 latach. Pierwotnie czternasta płyta pionierów hardcore'u miała nosić tytuł "Feast Of Fools", ale ostatecznie zatytułowano ją od otwierającego utworu "Absolute Dissent".
Decyzję o reaktywacji oryginalnego składu podjęto w październiku 2007 roku i latem 2009 grupa rozpoczęła próby nad nowym materiałem. Utwory komponowano wspólnie i "Absolute Dissent" łączy w sobie ciężar i ostrość "Hossannas From The Basements Of Hell", heavymetalowy styl "Killing Joke" i melodyjność płyty "Brighter Of A Tousand Suns". Album ukazuje się w 30 rocznicę powstania Killing Joke.
