| Detroit's funkster Michael Henderson's fifth album is the momentous 1980's 'Wide Receiver', which always earns all the top marks. The title track reached number 4 in the US R&B charts. This classic release proves Detroit Funk will always stay alive as proven by the superb "Prove It", another P-Funk inspired track. "Wide Receiver" became a smash hit album, in 1980, charting in the Top 40 on the Billboard Pop Albums and peaking at number 6 on the Billboard Top Soul Albums.
