| Peter Gabriel to jeden z najważniejszych współczesnych artystów i każda jego płyta staje się wydarzeniem. Tak było też w 2010 roku, gdy po 8-letniej przerwie Gabriel wydał album Scratch My Back, na którym wraz z towarzyszeniem orkiestry wykonał rovery 12 utworów z repertuaru innych artystów, których bardzo ceni (jak m.in. David Bowie, Neil Young, Paul Simon, Lou Reed, Arcade Fire, Elbow czy Radiohead). To była jednak zaledwie pierwsza część projektu, bowiem Peter wpadł na pomysł swoistej wymiany utworów między artystami.
