Reality Control were a much overlooked and under-rated politically aware punk band from Newcastle upon Tyne who existed from 1980 to 1985. From the outset the band had the anger and intensity (both lyrically and musically), with creative songwriting arrangements and an ingenuity that stood them out from the crowd in this 'anarcho punk' era. In those 5 short years the band's sound developed and diversified greatly, always interesting and a truly unique beast coming from the Tyneside's anarchist and music collectives to touring with the likes of Alternative, Chumbawamba and No Defences. This release documents almost every song the band ever recorded, including the 'Reproduction of Hate' 7" EP (1983) 'Within These Walls' split flexi disc (1984) and numerous compilation tracks and cassette releases plus their unreleased final recording aka '3rd demo' from 1985.
