Wiggle is SCREECHING WEASEL's 4th full-length, and third in the Recess preservation act of all things Weasel. Ok, now we really understand that there's a strong Ramones influence. When this one was first released, I heard a coupla "Ramones tribute band!" and a coupla Oh yea?! Let's hear em do QUESTIONINGLY!!. Ok maybe I didnt hear the latter. But still, there's super new wave hints while still holding onto a tiny shred of the earlier, Crimpshrine-y bits. Their version of Teenage Head's AIN'T GOT NO SENSE rivals the original...in my opinion. The band didn't find this their best record due to a rush to get a My Brain Hurts follow up and maybe some unfair expectations, but I think it's one of their best.
