None of Wilhelm FurtwĄngler's "Ring" performances from Bayreuth or other
places in Germany have survived as recordings. However three recordings do
still exist, one from a performance in London and two recordings that were
made in Italy. The first of these comes from a live performance at La Scala,
Milan in 1950, and the second a 1953 radio production in Rome. It is the latter
of these that is presented here in this bargain 13-CD set.
