One of many New Wave Of British Heavy Metal bands to bear the name, Newcastle's Warrior announced their presence via the track Flying High' on the first Neat Records' compilation cassette Lead Weight' in May 1981 and followed it up with a live in the studio single for the label the following year. Although dogged by line-up changes, the band recorded two further singles, a 12" EP entitled For Europe Only' in 1983 and Breakout', a three-track seven-incher in 1984, before splitting up. Resurrection' rounds up the material Warrior released on For Europe Only' and Breakout' and adds a further four tracks recorded by the band at the For Europe Only' session but never released until now. In addition Live In A Dive', a ten-track live album recorded by Warrior's first line-up and only officially released (and heavily bootlegged) on cassette back in 1982.
